TAC L2P Volunteer Driver Mentors:

Volunteer Mentors are responsible for providing an opportunity for practice to Learner Drivers who may otherwise have considerable difficulty in gaining the required 120 hours of supervised on road driving experience. The position is a supervising role that parents or other significant adults in the Learner’s life would otherwise have.

Volunteer Mentors will provide weekly driving practice for a minimum of two hours in vehicles provided by the program.

Volunteer Mentors will be supported in their role through the Vic Roads facilitated L2P Volunteer Supervising Driver Training Program and via the supervision and support of the TAC L2P Program Coordinator

Reception volunteers:

DIVRS’ Reception volunteers are an integral part of the Emergency Relief program. You will be the first point of call to clients and assist them in accessing DIVRS programs as well as referring them to other services. You will also handle queries via phone, email and general correspondence, transferring calls as necessary and attend to other administration duties throughout the day.

Skills Required:

·         Excellent communication and customer service skills

·         Experience working in a busy environment

·         Well organised, good time management with the ability to multitask

·         Skilled in Microsoft Office and Outlook.

·         A genuine desire to support the local community

General Food Relief Volunteers:

This is an important role that provides support to DIVRS’ Emergency Relief Program. You will support the Food Services Coordinator and ER volunteers in setting up the fresh food displays as well as monitoring the fresh food room and assisting with the packing of food orders and delivery of food parcels to the Darebin Community.

Skills Required:

·         Excellent communication and customer service skills

·         General good health and ability to be able to complete manual labor jobs which requires some lifting.

·         Organised and efficient approach

·         Ability to work independently and within a team

·         A genuine desire to support the local community
